Phuket is full of stunning vistas, but perhaps none are more breathtaking than Karon Viewpoint. Located just past Kata Noi Beach, it is one of the most visited viewpoints on the island. From the top, you can look out west directly over the sea, but most tourists will have their eyes and their cameras looking north, towards the bays of Kata Noi Beach, Kata Beach, and Karon Beach. Each beach can be distinctly made out with the white sand and blue water glistening in the sun. Karon Viewpoint is almost always busy, but parking isn’t usually too hard to come by. There is a large gazebo where you can sit in the shade, and snacks and drinks are available as well. Note that locals might know this famous attraction better as Kata Viewpoint, as that is what it used to be called.
